Ralph believes tending the earth is one of the most rewarding careers. Creating a stay at home getaway in an outdoor space of your own has always been a way for people to alleviate a stressful day.As a landscape designer he wants to be that person to help them find their outdoor paradise. Ralph does this by highlighting every detail and asking clients the question, what do you want to see when you look out your window?

His homegrown values started in the green industry at 16, working at a nursery on Long Island, NY. Ralph worked at creating potted plant and floral arrangements for his customers. Ralph worked in both a commercial and residential as a production installer and a landscape designer. His projects Included green roofs, green walls, rain garden installation and rain barrel installation. He believes in teaching people to transform their community one project at a time by planting native, drought-tolerant shade trees and smaller plants such as shrubs, grasses, and groundcover wherever possible, it will help promote native awareness.

  • Ralph’s work at The United States Department of Agriculture in DC as a site contract manager he was responsible for overseeing work for our Veterans and people with differing abilities. Projects at USDA included interior plant care, holiday design and set up, watering and maintenance. Landscape enhancements to the Peoples Garden and the beatification of the entire site.
  • He believes nothing works better than a little grit, determination and some common sense when it comes to designing the outdoors of your dreams. Ralph has seen almost everything in his 20 years in the industry. He continues to educate himself on new landscape ideas and methodologies.
  • Ralph earned his Bachelor’s Degree From Farmingdale State University in Visual Communications and Horticulture and is currently working on his Masters for Urban Planning at George Washington University.
  • In Ralph’s spare time he enjoys a night out at the movies with his wife, lightsaber battles with his young daughter camping, fishing, cookingand rollerblading. Including projects around the house while trying to finish his ever-growing honey-do list.
